Local Officials Announce Back to School Event and Centenarian Celebration

Round Rock, TX – On Saturday, August 5, 2023, citizens and visitors alike are invited to the Back to School Event, a celebration that also commemorates the city’s most senior resident turning 110-years-old. Attendees can partake in a wide variety of free, family-friendly entertainment, demonstrations and services from 10 am – 2 pm.

The event, sponsored by Round Rock ISD, will take place on the western side of the high school, adjacent to the football field. Vehicles may park conveniently in a designated guest parking area nearby. The location was chosen for its ample space to accommodate everyone wishing to attend.

Displays and activities will include a selection of engaging and diverse martial arts demonstrations, musical performances, dance routines, delectable food, drinks and snacks, and other live events specific to the Round Rock region. The occasion is also an excellent opportunity for residents and students to meet educators, administrators, and discover volunteering opportunities.

The pride and resilience of the community has been an inspiration to many, and the organizers have ensured all necessary precautions and protocols have been implemented to ensure a fun and safe experience for attendees.
