Rhino Launches US’s First End-to-End Deposit Management and Compliance Platform

Rhino, which pioneered deposit insurance in 2017 and now serves a partner network of six million homes, today announced the launch of the first communities on Rhino+, the industry’s first comprehensive deposit management and compliance platform.

Thousands of property renters across the country will now have a seamless digital experience to meet their security deposit requirements by choosing cash deposit or Rhino insurance. Rhino+ is meeting growing demand from landlords and property managers to reduce the friction associated with security deposits and related compliance issues in markets across the country.

“The security deposit process has been a thorn in the side of property owners and renters alike for decades.” Rhino co-founder and CEO Paraag Sarva said. “Rhino+ is the first digital collateral platform for owners and operators who want faster leasing, automated compliance, and affordable deposit options. And tenants can forego cash receipts and get the first digital experience they expect from any transaction.”

The launch of Rhino+ follows the company’s recent announcement of Credit+, a service that helps tenants build credit through timely rental reporting, and after Rhino’s acquisition of Deposify. Rhino also recently released the 2023 State of Multifamily Housing Report, which provides industry-specific insights into rent growth, inflation, and housing affordability.

Since 2017, Rhino innovations have saved renters more than $1 billion in initial move-in costs and helped lower the operating costs of more than 2,500 landlords and property managers, a network that manages six million rental homes and over 14% of the US rental market.
