Residents are concerned about plastic bags with anti-Semitic leaflets left in the Vero Beach area.

VERO BEACH, Florida. Another area was fired upon by anti-Semitic leaflets. This time it’s on the Treasure Coast in Vero Beach.

“Look at the flowers blooming, it’s just beautiful,” said Paul.

As Paul walked through his neighborhood pointing out the beauty to WPTV, he then discovers a package on the ground with a flyer inside. He said it was the unattractiveness of Vero Beach. He did not want to reveal his last name for fear of retribution.

“We had a person visit the house and when they got back to their car, they found these bags of pellets and this terrible literature inside,” he said.

According to him, literature preaches hatred of Jews. He said it was very unfortunate to see such hatred in his area.

“I’m not Jewish, but as soon as you start to hate one group, when you move on to my group,” he said.

Paul said he filed a police report.

A bag of anti-Semitic messages was found all over the area and reported Monday.

The Vero Beach Police Department said they received several calls from residents of the city. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, they stated: “This is happening all over the United States. This is an active investigation, if you received the bag, dispose of it appropriately.”

Jenny, who lives across the street from Paul, didn’t know one of the bags was in her yard until it was pointed out to her.

“It’s weird and I would probably throw corn in my compost,” she said.

She said she didn’t have time for such things.

“I don’t read it, I just throw it away,” she said.

This is not the first time this has happened in South Florida. There was an area in Boca Raton where two people recently projected a Nazi sign onto a building in downtown West Palm Beach, and now this incident is in Vero Beach.

Paul agreed with Jenny that it was best to throw the bags out with the rest of the trash.
