Report: Aaron Rodgers gave the Jets a wish list of former Packers, Odell Beckham Jr.

Aaron Rodgers may be on the verge of leaving the Green Bay Packers, but he doesn’t seem to want to leave. All Green Bay Packers.

ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that the 39-year-old defender gave New York Jets a “wish list” of catchers that he would like the team to acquire. This list includes three players who were with Rogers in Green Bay – Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard and Marcedus Lewis – along with Odell Beckham Jr.

Earlier Tuesday, it was reported that the Jets working to sign Lazar, although another team is reportedly in talks with him. Cobb was also associated with aircraft on the Tuesday before Russini’s report.

Lazard was Rodgers’ top target in 2022, leading the Packers with 60 receptions and 788 receiving yards. Cobb spent 10 seasons at Green Bay and is finishing a season in which he has caught 34 passes for 417 yards. Lewis had a minimal role in the Packers’ passing game in 2022, but has been a teammate with Rodgers since 2018.

And then there’s Beckham. Free agent widely held private training last week ahead of 11 NFL teams and is looking for a new destination after missing the entire 2022 season with an ACL tear.

While Rogers is reportedly having a group of pass catchers in mind if he joins the Jets, the team already has a number of intriguing weapons in their hands. Garrett Wilson was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year for 2022, Corey Davis was productive when he was healthy, and Elijah Moore was selected in the second round draft just two years ago.

Hanging over all of this is the fact that Rodgers isn’t with the Jets yet. New York executives visited Rogers in California last week, but despite the hype that the Packers-Jets deal is “finished,” Rogers slowly with his decision.

If Rogers travels from Green Bay to the Big Apple, several familiar faces may join him. When—or if—he gets there is up to him.
