A former Texas state trooper in the Houston area was found guilty of sexually assaulting two women in the line of duty in 2020, according to federal prosecutors.

Lee Ray Boykin Jr., 33, of Spring, was convicted last Friday of two counts of forfeiture under the guise of law and two counts of destroying, altering or falsifying records in a federal investigation, according to the U.S. Attorney. According to the indictment documents filed with the court, one of the victims told investigators that she was sitting in a friend’s car at a gas station on the night of August 3, 2020, when Boykin stopped behind them with the headlights of a patrol car on. a woman who had outstanding travel warrants and asked a friend to go without her. Another woman told investigators that four days later she and her husband were panhandling near the junction of the Northern Freeway and West Mount Houston Road when she was given a ride by a friend to the motel where they were staying, court documents show. The woman told investigators they were stopped by Boykin, who asked her to get out of the car, falsely accused her of being a prostitute, and forced her into the front passenger seat of his patrol car, according to court records.

Boykin told the woman he was going to take her back to the crossroads where she had been begging, the woman told investigators, but instead took her to a secluded parking lot near Northern Highway, where he forced her to perform oral sex, court documents show. .
