President Jimmy Carter is in hospice
ATLANTA — Former US President Jimmy Carter will receive hospice care and spend the “remaining time” at home, according to a statement released Saturday by the Carter Center.
The former 39th president was recently in the hospital and was discharged from it. Carter, 98, served as commander in chief from 1977 to 1981.
Carter is the oldest living former president in US history. In 2015, he survived a horrific cancer diagnosis.
