Pregnant teen shot while sitting in car in Manhattan

A 19-year-old pregnant woman was shot in the leg while sitting in a car Monday night in uptown Manhattan, according to police and law enforcement sources.

The victim was not the intended target of the shooting that occurred on West 165th Street in Washington Heights around 9 p.m., the NYPD said.

It’s unclear if the shooter or shooters were aiming at somebody else in the car.

The teenager was rushed to Harlem Hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive, cops said. She is eight months pregnant, sources told the Post.

The suspects – five of them, according to sources – fled following the shooting, police said.

No arrests have been made.
