Police say one person has died in a multi-vehicle collision on the Southwest Highway in Sugar Land.

Police said the crash happened between Highway 90 and Dairy Ashford. Several southern lanes were blocked. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.

SUGAR LAND, Texas. A multi-vehicle crash on the Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land killed one person on Wednesday, police said.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, two of which overturned, police said.

The accident affected several southbound lanes of US-59 between Highway 90 and Dairy Ashford Road.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
