Police say one person has died and another is being questioned after a brawl in northwest Houston.

HOUSTON. A man has died and another man has been detained after a fight in northwest Houston on Thursday morning. Houston Police Department.

It happened on Burtwood Street near the intersection of Tidwell and Homestead Streets.

HPD Sgt. Michael Barrow said one of the men was dead at the scene. It is not clear at this time how he died. The second man remained at the scene. The police are questioning this man, as well as witnesses.

“The murder is being investigated to determine if it was a homicide or a justifiable homicide,” Barrow said.

Burrow also said that it was obvious that the two men knew each other.

At the moment, no one has been charged, and the identity of the victim has not been established.
