Police: Missing Collin County woman Kayla Kelly threatened to reveal affair

McKinney, TX (CBSDFW.COM) — Law enforcement officials share more information about a man arrested on charges of kidnapping a woman in Collin County.

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office received a call from family and colleagues about Kayla Kelly January 11, after she went missing for several days.

According to court documents, sheriffs learned that Kelly had a boyfriend, who she recently learned was married. Ocastor Ferguson, who was arrested Sunday on kidnapping charges, later admitted to authorities that he spoke to Kelly under a different name.

A day later, Frisco police found Kelly’s burned-out and unrecognizable car on a deserted country road.

Court records show that police later found Ferguson’s car, reportedly containing duct tape, gloves and a blanket, near Kelly’s home. He told police that he did not know Kelly’s current whereabouts or condition, but admitted that he had spoken to Kelly and that she had threatened to tell his wife about their affair.

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office is still asking anyone with information to come forward.
