Police investigate morning shootout at Ewing Wawa’s home

EWING TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER) – Ewing Township Police said that Ewing Township Police officers responded to Wav at 1300 Silvia Street at 3:26 a.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023, about a shooting. When the officers arrived, it was determined that there had been an argument between 3 or 4 visitors to Vav who had arrived separately. Wawa employees intervened and demanded that the parties involved leave the store. One men’s batch left the store, but returned after a short time. When the man re-entered the store, one of the parties remaining in the store fired a weapon in his direction. A man returning to the store returned fire. It is not true that someone was hit by a firearm. Police believe there is every reason to believe that there is any active threat to the community.

The incident is currently being investigated by Ewing Township Police Department Detective Justin Oubrey.
