Police Investigate Gunshots Fired During Violent Altercation in Toms River

Toms River, NJ (Ocean) – In the early hours of Sunday morning, police units were dispatched to the Days Hotel on Route 37 in response to a large fight taking place in the parking lot area. As officers were en route, additional information was received concerning possible gunshots. Upon further investigation, it was determined that shots had indeed been fired, although no individuals were injured as a result. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI unit was called in to assist with processing the scene. Additionally, one male individual experienced a seizure during the incident and was subsequently transported to Community Medical Center by Silverton First Aid. Presently, the investigation remains ongoing.
