Police identify gunman in shootout with Dallas officers
DALLAS – The Dallas Police Department released the name of the shooter killed in a shootout with police on Wednesday, as well as the condition of the injured officer.
The shooting took place at an apartment complex on Bahama Drive in West Oak Cliff.

Officers tried to serve a warrant to kill 18-year-old Joey Freire. They found him in the car.
Police say the driver of the car got out as ordered, but Fryer opened fire and the police returned fire.
The officer was wounded in the leg, he was treated and discharged from the hospital.
Freire died in the hospital.
FOX 4 learned that he was wanted for the October murder in Farmers Branch.
