Police closed all SB lanes on I-95 on Sample Road following the shooting; 1 wounded

POMPANO BEACH, Florida. (WSVN) — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Interstate 95 that led to a road closure.

Around 3:15 a.m., representatives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the southern lanes of I-95 on Sample Road in Pompano Beach on Thursday.

When law enforcement officers arrived on the scene, they had to take one man to the district hospital for treatment.

The man’s condition is unclear.

Due to the incident, investigators closed all southbound lanes and the southbound entry lane on I-95 at Sample Road.

Drivers are asked to look for alternative routes.
