Police are investigating a shooting on I-95 in Fort Lauderdale.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida. (WSVN) — Fort Lauderdale is currently under investigation after a shooting occurred on Interstate 95 on Broward Boulevard following reports of gunshots received by authorities just after midnight Thursday.

Live footage shows a white car riddled with bullets on the side of the highway.

The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital after being injured; their current status is unknown.

Florida Highway Patrol and Broward Sheriff’s Office officials were on the scene and investigating, resulting in the northbound lane being closed for several hours before the expressway was reopened to traffic.

Details of the shooting incident are limited, and authorities have yet to provide any further information on what led up to the incident or whether any arrests were made.
