Philanthropist Shlomo Reschnitz and his wife put up for sale a glamorous Los Angeles home for $26 million
Medical supply magnate and philanthropist Shlomo Reschnitz and his wife, Tamar, have listed their Los Angeles investment property in Hancock Park for a hefty $26 million.
Hancock Park is the area where prolific screenwriter and producer Shonda Rhimes, known for popular hits like Grey’s Anatomy and Bridgerton, recently sold her 1923 home for a record $21 million, according to the LA Times. (Rhymes bought the house from Everybody Loves Raymond actress Patricia Heaton for $8.8 million in 2014, according to the paper.)
According to Josh Nass, spokesman for Reshnitz, Gimme Shelter is already at war for the Reshnitz property, which has been on the market for less than three weeks.
The Reshnitz family purchased the property at 101 N. Hudson Avenue for $11.5 million in September 2020. The Tudor style house, built in 1929 by architect Roland Coate, was listed in the Architectural Digest in 1931 and restored by Mark Stevens Construction and MR Design.
The 14,649-square-foot, seven-bedroom home sits on 0.96 acres. It has a large living room with a fireplace, a coffered-ceiling cigar lounge, as well as a formal dining room, a chef’s kitchen and a butler’s pantry. Details include crown moldings, herringbone flooring, diamond-shaped glass windows, mahogany paneled walls, and built-in furniture.
The master bedroom has a bay window, a balcony and a double spa bathroom. There are also two home offices with fireplaces, a gym with bar/lounge, spa/massage room, home theater and children’s playroom. Outside there is a swimming pool, summer kitchen with pizza oven, two fire pits and a pickleball/semi-basketball court.
Among the neighbors down the street Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.
The listing brokers are brothers Josh and Matthew Altman of Douglas Elliman.
