Pedestrian hit by Brightline train in Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, Florida. The pedestrian was hit by a Brightline train on Saturday morning in Boca Raton, police said.

The fatal crash occurred on railroad tracks near block 4200 of the North Dixie Highway, a few miles north of the new Boca Raton Brightline station.

The woman was walking on the tracks when she was hit by a northbound Brightline train, Boca Raton police officer Jessica Desir told WPTV.

The crash is still under investigation.

No other information was forthcoming.
