Paxton Files motion calling on court to stop Biden’s new program that welcomes hundreds of thousands of foreigners to the country each year

Austin, Texas — Attorney General Paxton has filed a motion for a preliminary injunction against the Biden administration’s new visa program, which would see hundreds of thousands of foreigners from certain foreign countries receive “parole” and release into the United States each year. Last month, A. G. Paxton announced his legal action against these policies of the Biden administration.

The new program, unveiled by the Department of Homeland Security, suggests the Biden administration is actively recruiting hundreds of thousands of foreigners while they are in their home countries and using taxpayer money to get them to inner cities across the country. These aliens could then stay in the United States for many years.

The high costs of hosting hundreds of thousands of foreigners — millions of dollars in health care, law enforcement and education costs — will be a huge burden on Texas. For this reason, the motion for a preliminary injunction is asking the court to suspend the Biden administration’s illegal parole program until a final hearing on the merits is held.

“Instead of rolling out a red carpet for hundreds of thousands of foreigners and using taxpayer dollars to bring them into the country, Joe Biden should focus on securing our border,” Attorney General Paxton said. “This illegal parole program is yet another example of Biden and Mallorcas’ desperation to defy our country’s laws in order to advance the open borders program. While nothing about the lawlessness of the Biden administration indicated that it even remotely cares about protecting our sovereignty and strengthening the security of our borders, I will continue to sue to force them to comply with the law and protect American citizens.”
