Parolee in firearm case busted with another loaded gun in NYC: cops

A man was arrested with a loaded gun on a Queens street this week – while already out on parole in connection to a separate firearm case, according to authorities.

William Brown, 31, was busted at the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 168th Street in Jamaica around 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

The NYPD had gotten a tip “about a male with a gun and quickly found him on the streets,” cops said.

Brown was allegedly found with a loaded 9mm Taurus firearm, shown in a photo tweeted by the NYPD Wednesday.

He was charged with three weapon possession raps, and one count of criminal use of a firearm, cops said.

Records show he was held in state prison on a weapons-related conviction from 2018 to 2020, when he was released on parole.

His post-release supervision is set to expire in 2023.

Police say Brown was busted with a loaded firearm in both January of 2017 and July of 2012.

He was also arrested for criminal possession of marijuana in 2017, grand larceny in 2013, and theft of service in 2012, cops said.
