Parkland 17 Memorial Foundation Announces Plans for Official Memorial

PARKLAND, Florida. (WSVN) – The Parkland 17 Memorial Foundation, a Florida non-profit corporation, has announced plans to build and maintain an official public memorial to honor those who were captured too early on the Feb. 14, 2018 Marjorie Stoneman Douglas shooting.

Fundraising has begun for the memorial, and it will be located in a large, quiet and serene nature reserve under construction.

People wishing to pay their respects and see the Parkland 17 memorial will be able to visit once it is completed.

The father of one of the victims killed in the shooting, Tony Montalto, is vice chairman of the Parkland 17 Memorial Foundation and family liaison who briefs the families of other victims.

“This foundation was founded to create an official public memorial to the victims of the Parkland Massacre, to be forever remembered for who they were, innocent children with a bright and bright future ahead of them – educators and coaches who have done so much for their students.” Montalto said.

Other members include chairman Michael Moser.

“We expect kind and compassionate donors to find in their hearts the desire to donate to this memorial to forever remember these beautiful souls who were killed on February 14, 2018, tragically taken from their families, friends and the world too soon,” Moser said.
