New Zealand-headquartered Orion Health has made significant progress in safety for two of its program offerings, placing itself among the organizations recognized for prioritizing safety practices.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT

The Amadeus platform for population health management and precision medicine is HITRUST certified for information security. Amadeus provides healthcare professionals with real-time cognitive support to make the best possible point-of-care decisions. It is capable of data aggregation and has a privacy feature that provides controlled access to patient information based on user roles and patient data privacy.

According to HITRUST, a two-year certification status means that the platform meets key regulatory and industry requirements and manages risk appropriately. “The fact that Orion Health Amadeus achieved the two-year risk-based HITRUST certification is a testament to the high quality of their information risk management and compliance program,” said Bimal Sheth, HITRUST EVP of Standards and Assurance.

Meanwhile, the Orion Health Communicate platform has also received full accreditation through the DirectTrust Accreditation Program for Health Information Service Providers (HISP). The software solution facilitates secure communication between patients, healthcare providers and organizations through desktop computers and EMR systems.

After the audit, Communicate was found to be fully compliant with the Direct standard and the requirements of the DirectTrust Security and Trust Framework. “DirectTrust HISP accreditation certifies that an organization has established and maintains a high level of trust for its stakeholders, which is a significant difference,” said DirectTrust President and CEO Scott Stuwe.
