One man killed, four others injured in Kimble County crash

KIMBLE COUNTY, Texas — Four people were injured and one man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday on US Hwy 377 near Telegraph in Kimble County.

A Texas Department of Public Safety preliminary crash report said a pickup truck, driven by Ruben Sandoval Fernandez, 38, of Austin, was northbound on US 377. The truck left the road on a sharp curve, then turned over. It came to rest on its roof in the South Llano River. 

Jorge Luis Moreno Lopez, 28, died at the scene.

Fernandez was taken to a San Antonio hospital for treatment. Three passengers were taken to Kimble County Hospital for treatment.

The crash is under DPS investigation.
