Okeechobee County is still unmarked on the body as investigators search for clues.

Autopsy results could be released as early as Tuesday to confirm human remains found in Okeechobee County last weekend were with Gary Levin.

Okeechobee County Sheriff Noel Stephen said it was the remains of a white man.

The body was found 2 miles from where investigators said Levin’s phone last rang last week.

The sheriff’s office posted a “no entry” sign along northeast 40th Avenue, east of the Okeechobee city limits, near where the body was found on Saturday.

Steven said his diving team was looking for new clues on Monday.

Investigators said intelligence led them to a body that would likely not have been visible from the road. Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents were also seen moving in and out of the area.

The body was found a few yards from a canal that stretched for miles. He was flown 30 miles to the District 19 Medical Examiner’s office located in Fort Pierce.

An autopsy should provide information about the cause of death.

WPTV asked the sheriff if he knew when the identification would be on the body. He said he didn’t know, but expected it sooner rather than later.
