Off-duty SAPD officer apprehended for DWI following collision
Eric Duffin, a 16-year veteran of the force, will face immediate temporary suspension without pay as he was arrested on Saturday for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated. The incident took place on the far north side of San Antonio, where a minor single vehicle crash occurred in the 1700 Block of Evans Rd just after midnight.
Upon arrival at the scene, San Antonio Police officers observed signs of intoxication in off-duty officer Eric Duffin, who is assigned to North Patrol and has been serving with the San Antonio Police Department for 16 years. As a result, Duffin will be promptly and temporarily suspended without pay, pending further investigation.
