NYPD sergeant charged with drunk driving after alcohol-fuelled accident in Brooklyn: NYPD
Police said an NYPD desk sergeant was behind bars on Friday after an alcohol-fuelled accident in Brooklyn.
Sgt. Andrew Lindsay, 37, was charged with drunk driving and refusing to take a breathalyzer test after he crashed his personal vehicle into an empty parked car near the corner of Fulton and Clinton streets. in Clinton Hill around 1:30 a.m., police said.
According to police, no one was hurt in the accident.
The 14-year-old NYPD veteran, who spent most of his career with the Transit Bureau and earned $128,000 last year, was assigned to nearby Park Slope Precinct 78 last month, according to department records.
His indictment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was expected on Friday.
