NYC man shot in chest tries to drive away before crashing, dying: cops

A man was shot in the chest at a Manhattan club Sunday morning and tried to drive away before crashing into a street divider and dying, cops said.

The 30-year-old was near West 143rd Street and Broadway when he was struck by gunfire around 3 a.m., police said.

The wounded victim climbed into his car and drove for about a block before he crashed, cops said.

“He had been shot and was driving away and struck the divider,” a police spokeswoman said.

He was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.

There were five suspects and two of them were armed. One was clad all in red, cops said.

The victim had “a lengthy rap sheet,” a police source said.

There were no immediate arrests.
