NYC Citi Bike driver in critical condition after being hit by SUV: cops

A 30-year-old man struggled to survive after being hit by a runaway driver while riding a Citi bike in Manhattan on Sunday morning, police said.

The cyclist was on West 51st Street and 11th Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen when he was hit by an SUV, police said.

According to a witness, the driver got out of the car and looked at the injured biker, but then fled.

The cyclist was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside in critical condition.

A police spokesman confirmed that the driver was not at the scene.

Photographs from the scene show the blue and white bike stuck under the car it appeared to have stopped under.
