Novamed renamed the Knutsford Court Hotel in Jamaica to Summit.

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Novamed, new owners of the Knutsford Court Hotell in New Kingston renamed the four-acre site Summit.

According to the founder and director of Novamed, the new name of the future “smart business campus” Dr. David Walcott, is disclosed immediately after the completion of the transaction for 40 million US dollars. “The deal was with a custom-built vehicle that took us months to complete, and plans have already begun to renovate what will be Jamaica’s first smart commercial hub. Our plan is to bring an international flavor to Jamaican commercial real estate and use technology to effectively engage our clients and meet their needs.”

Novamed Director Kevin Donaldson added that “The Summit will foster progressive businesses that operate in finance, fitness, food, healthcare, leisure, law, education technology and more. Although the renovations to the complex have not yet been completed, some commercial activity will begin through the Summit entrance on Chelsea Avenue in the coming days.”

When development is complete, consumers will be able to access Summit through two easily accessible entrances.

“The Summit will be a relaxed and innovative working environment that will provide a high level of technical connectivity for startups and mature businesses. We are creating a permanent version of the ecosystem platforms we have successfully created,” added Novamed director Kirk-Anthony Hamilton.

Additionally, at the heart of the smart city will be The Summit House, a hub where businesses and consumers connect to fuel solutions that drive economic growth.
