New York thug headbutted and punched during subway robbery attempt
The 34-year-old woman was headbutted and punched by two thugs who tried to rob her on a train in Queens, police said.
The victim was on a southbound R train approaching the Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Avenue station around 1:20 p.m. Jan. 15 when she was violently confronted by another woman who then headbutted her in the face, police said late in the evening. on Tuesday.
Moments later, a man approached the victim, grabbed her mobile phone, and then hit her on the head, police said.
The victim was able to retrieve her phone and escaped from the train as it pulled into the station, authorities said.
She was treated for bruises on her head.
The suspects remained on the train to Woodhaven Boulevard station and were last seen entering the Queens Center shopping mall, police said.
Police said the attack happened five days before a stranger accidentally pushed a 16-year-old boy from behind down the stairs at the platform of the 42nd Street-Grand Central subway station in Manhattan.
CCTV footage released by the NYPD Tuesday night showed the suspect running down the platform wearing a red coat and black winter hat.
He fled on the 7 train towards Hudson Yards after the attack, which took place around 11 a.m. on January 20, police said.
The victim refused medical attention.
Then, in another disturbing incident, on February 2, an 8-year-old girl at the President Street station in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was approached by a gnat walking with a cane, hugged the girl, kissed her nose and hand, and stroked her. head, the police said. He then ran down the escalator and left the station.
At the time, the girl was waiting on the platform with her 15-year-old brother at around 6:40 am.
She was not injured, police said.
The NYPD released footage Tuesday night of a man walking down a platform in dark clothing. He is still being sought.
