After several months of waiting, an opening date has been set. finally The newest restaurant on top of the Reunion Tower in Dallas was announced.

Last October, it was announced that Crown Block, a steak and seafood restaurant, would open in Las Vegas this spring. It has now been confirmed that its grand opening will take place on April 17.

Wolfgang Puck’s Five Sixty restaurant closed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and then eventually closed for good.

Crown Block is owned by husband and wife business partner Elizabeth Blau and chef Kim Cantinwalla. The duo say their menu is extensive, from sushi and chilled seafood to a dessert bar.

There are also plenty of steak and cocktail options at the restaurant.

“During the initial stages of creating this concept, we needed to become part of the local culinary culture,” Cantinvalla said. “Working closely with small local farms, ranchers and suppliers, Crown Block will offer high quality farm-raised meat and wild-caught seafood that captures the true spirit of the Texas frontier and Gulf Coast.”

The chef is delighted that guests can try dishes such as Rosewood Ranch Tin-in Strip Steak, Heartbrand Akaushi Striploin, and Wagyu Croquettes.

The duo also named several dishes from the dessert bar. Check out the Turtle Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar and Maple Cotton Candy Creme Brulee Donut Holes.

Along with the restaurant, Crown Block will have an event space called The Crown Room. There will be space for around 200 guests for formal sit-downs and around 250 guests for a cocktail reception. For more intimate options, the hall also has a semi-private space that can accommodate up to 150 people.

Keep in mind that this new restaurant won’t rotate 360 degrees like the venture did before – at least not on the 18th floor, where Crown Block’s main facility is located. The Crown Room will be located on the 17th floor and is subject to change at the request of those who booked it.
