New oysters and winery coming soon to San Francisco

Oh shit. A new oyster and wine bar called Little Shucker occupies the long dormant site of The Grove in Pacific Heights.

The new establishment recently posted a notice to apply for a liquor license on the front of a vacant store in Fillmore Street, 2016. An opening date has yet to be announced, but we know Little Shucker comes to us from the people behind The Snug. cocktail bar located nearby at Fillmore and Clay streets. He joins a thriving culinary corridor that includes SPQR, Pizzeria Delfina and Noosh.

The Chronicle first spotted the new oyster bar last August, noting that it will be run by chef Adrian Garcia, who previously worked at Michelin-starred Benu and Quince cuisines.

The Grove, a longtime local fast food chain, closed its Pacific Heights cafe in 2020 after Bank of America allegedly failed to provide the restaurant with a stimulus loan.

Snug was contacted for comments on the Little Shucker reopening.
