New Harris controversy: Social media posting leads to ‘modern racism’

Kamala Harris’ communications team must be as bad at their jobs as she is at hers.

The vice president is already known for spitting out a torrent of ridiculously pretentious statements that are clearly meant to inspire but instead look nonsensical.

Now her social media group has kicked off the week, making her look even worse.

A tweet posted Sunday on Harris’s personal account includes a photo of the vice president with a caption intended for a tiny minority of the United States population, urging: “My message to black women and girls around the world: Never ask permission to lead.” .

On trend:

Watch: Police forcibly remove Greta Thunberg from coal mine in protest

Obviously, it was meant to inspire. But what he elicited was a reaction no image maker seeks: disgust, anger, and withering contempt.

First of all, for reasons that only Harris’ PR team could explain, Harris is pictured with a masked girl and the VP’s face is exposed.

For many Twitter users, like the formidable Christina Pushaw, director of first responders for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the girl’s message was not brash confidence but submissiveness and obedience, not to mention physical discomfort.

Many had the same reaction:

Connected:

Watch: Camera caught body falling down Air Force One stairs, and it’s not Biden this time

Secondly, the tweet was directed only to “black women and girls”.

Why is Harris’ support limited to race?

It may seem counterintuitive given the prominence of black entertainers in public life, black athletes in major sports, the number of black actors featured in TV commercials, and the endless pandering to progressives and politicians, but black Americans make up only about 12 percent of the population. the population, i.e. “black women and girls” that Harris refers to, is about 6 percent of the people she is supposed to represent overall.

This is a rather specific targeting based solely on the randomness of the genetic structure that determines skin color. And any honest assessment of Harris’ tweet would call it what it is: pure racism.

It’s hard to find honest estimates in the establishment media these days – as anyone who’s followed the Hunter Biden saga knows – but thankfully they’re alive and well on social media.

“Yeah, it is. This is modern racism disguised as altruism,” wrote one Twitter user.

There are two possibilities here:

First, Harris and her staff took a close look at the image and words in the tweet, weighed them all reasonably, and decided that it was exactly the “message” the VP wanted to send. Register this as “unlikely”.

Secondly, it was careless when the employee took the image almost at random. (According to Fox News, the photo was taken in July 2021. Since then, Kamala has spent a lot of time in front of the cameras. Of course, they could have found a more recent photo with a little effort.)

As for the wording, the Left is so used to speaking in racist terms, so used to stratifying Americans by skin tone, that no one batted an eyelid when a tweet allegedly by the U.S. Vice President was openly racist and sexist. . No one considered the possibility that there would be a message that Harris apparently had no words of encouragement for white women and girls, Hispanics or Asians, or men of any race whatsoever.

Did you think this Harris tweet was racist?

In her two years as vice president, Harris hasn’t distinguished herself in her position, other than perhaps the only politician in the US who can make her bumbling boss look competent.

Her most public area of responsibility was the task of overseeing the security of the southern borders, which was a disaster of epic proportions and will affect the country long after Harris or anyone associated with the Biden administration is alive to see the consequences.

She is a disaster as a VP, former employees say she is a disaster as a boss.

And, as Sunday’s Twitter post showed, she’s surrounded by a PR team that’s as big a disaster as she is.

Another week in the world of Kamala Harris.
