New Braunfels High School teacher arrested for indecent relationship with student

Police say he was seen making inappropriate contact with a female student on campus.

NEW BROWNFELS, Texas. A former New Braunfels High School teacher has been arrested on charges of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Bryant Shepard, 41, was taken into custody around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Crime Task Force.

Shepard is accused of inappropriate relationship between an educator and a student, which is a felony of the 2nd degree.

The New Braunfels Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an investigation after Shepard, who was a teacher at the time, was seen making inappropriate contact with a female student while on campus.

Shepard was found at an address in San Antonio and taken to the Bexar County Jail.

His bail was set at $250,000.

The case is ongoing and Shepard may face additional charges in connection with this allegation.
