NCPD: Roosevelt man accused of sending inappropriate material to minors online

Squad 4 reports an arrest in connection with an incident that occurred at 10:26 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023, in Oceanside.

On Monday, February 13, 2023, defendant Tamel T. Dixon, 33, from 41 Bauer Avenue Roosevelt, did send inappropriate photos and messages to individuals under the age of seventeen during a group chat with minors on Snapchat, according to detectives.

Following an investigation, the defendant surrendered to Precinct 4 detectives at 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Defendant Thamel T. Dixon has been charged with distributing obscene material to minors in the 1st degree and endangering a child’s welfare. He will stand trial on Friday, February 17, 2023 in First Circuit Court at 99 Main Street Hempstead.
