Naples City Council is exploring parking options

COLLIER COUNTY, Florida. On Wednesday, the Naples City Council decides on the future of its new parking lot at the Gulfshore Playhouse.

Over time, it is planned to build a new public garage here.

But it hit a snag after an environmental study revealed that an underground hydraulic lift was buried underground.

So for now, the number of parking spaces will not increase as people prepare to return to the beaches.

As for the hydraulic lift, once the city removes it and rehabilitates it, the environmental consultant says the environmental report should be ready by April.
