MPs give ‘everything clear’ after ‘possible threat’ at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School

PARKLAND, Fla. — Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies have given “everything is clear” after investigating a “possible threat” Wednesday at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, a year and a day after a mass shooting on campus that killed 17 people.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Gerdie St. Louis said deputies were alerted to the possible threat just before 2 p.m.

The school was briefly locked down while deputies ransacked the campus.

St. Louis said no threat was identified and the students were fired.

According to her, there was no threat to either the students or the staff.

The incident happened just a day after families and community members gathered to remember 14 students and three teachers killed in the 2018 massacre.
