Motorcyclist fatally hit from behind on FDR Drive in Manhattan and pinned under car

On Monday, police said a motorcyclist died on Manhattan’s Roosevelt Roosevelt Street when he was hit from behind and pinned down by a car.

Nathaniel Knight was driving downtown on his electric motorcycle when he was hit by a 19-year-old driver of a 2008 Honda Civic near E. 55th St. around 10:30 p.m. Sunday around 10:30 p.m.

The Civic was then crashed from behind by the driver of a 2006 Civic, also a 19-year-old man.

Knight, 40, was pinned under a 2008 Civic and died at the scene.

The two drivers remained at the scene and were not immediately charged. The police continue to investigate.

According to police, Knight lived in the Farragut houses near the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
