A young Muni bus passenger was stabbed Monday afternoon south of Chinatown, near Union Square.

The San Francisco Police Department confirmed to The Standard that on Monday at 4:41 p.m., there was a scuffle on a bus between two minors. The victim, a man, was treated for a possible stab wound, first by officers and then by doctors. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The SFPD said that with the help of witnesses, they “detained several subjects who may have been involved in the attack,” but no arrests have been made so far.

Numerous Mooney lines passing through the area were affected. Although initial reports mentioned a specific bus route, the SFPD has not been able to provide confirmation at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or send a message to TIP411 and initiate a message with the SFPD.

This is an evolving story.
