Monkeys Bella and Finn recover, Dallas Zoo raises reward to $25,000

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The Dallas Zoo on Wednesday shared an update on a pair of emperor tamarins, Bell and Finn, who have now returned safely to their care after a 36-hour search.

Apart from losing some weight, none of the monkeys show any signs of injury, the zoo said.

“Both started eating and drinking almost immediately after the team completed their medicals on Tuesday. They won’t be back in their habitat for a while – since they’ve been taken off-site, they’ll need to go through a quarantine period before being reintroduced into their habitat. zoo habitat,” shared the zoo.

Bella and Finn were taken from their enclosure on January 30 and found the next day in an abandoned house in Lancaster.

The zoo would like to thank the Dallas Police Department and enhanced surveillance cameras for receiving the tip that led to the monkey’s recovery.

In addition, the zoo has increased its reward to $25,000 for any information not only about what happened to Bella and Finn, but about any of them. three more suspicious incidents there last month.
