Missing man Taylor found dead in Lampasas River
BELTON, Texas – Police said the missing Taylor was found dead in the Lampasas River.
Belton police said that at 5:28 p.m. on January 19, officers received a call about a man face down in the Lampasas River near the I-35 bridge.
Police confirmed that the man who matched Taylor’s description of the missing person was dead. A positive ID is expected.
Police said the body, with a head injury consistent with a fall from a height, was sent to the Southwestern Forensic Institute for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Morgan’s Point Dive Team helped rebuild the body. The body was discovered by a fisherman.
The police are continuing to investigate the matter.
