Hamilton Police Arrest Trenton and Morrisville Men in Hamilton

Hamilton, NJ (Mercer) – On Friday, January 5, 2024, at approximately 1:13 p.m., the Hamilton Police Anti-Crime Unit observed a gray Chrysler 300 commit a motor vehicle violation in the area of Chambers Street and William Street. Following the violation, the officers stopped the vehicle. However, upon stopping, the back seat passenger quickly exited the vehicle and began running towards a residence on the 1100 block of William Street. The officers pursued and eventually caught up with the suspect, who put up a fight. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle took advantage of the distraction and drove away. During the struggle, the officers heard a thud and discovered a handgun on the ground, underneath the suspect. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Daniel Rogers from Trenton, was apprehended along with the weapon.

Responding officers later located the vehicle in the area of Lida Street and Grand Avenue. A male approached the officers and claimed to be the driver of the Chrysler. The individual was identified as 21-year-old Lenny Douyon from Morrisville, PA and was subsequently arrested.

Rogers has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing the Administration of Law. He has been transported to the Mercer County Correctional Facility, where he awaits a detention hearing. On the other hand, Douyon has been charged with Eluding, Obstructing the Administration of Law, and several motor vehicle violations. He was released on a Summons.
