Matlacha Public Park to reopen for the first time since Jan

FORT MYERS, Florida. Lee County announced Friday that Matlacha Public Park will reopen on Saturday, February 25, for the first time since Hurricane Ian.

The park was closed after it was badly damaged by the hurricane. It will be open from 07:00 to 21:00 with limited facilities.

Outdoor amenities in the park include a boat ramp, a kayak ramp, and a large pavilion. Small pavilions, a fishing pier, playgrounds, a basketball court, and buildings remain closed for renovations.

Trailer parking is charged $10 per day. There is no charge for parking one car.
