Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration and March Begins on UT Campus

Austin, Texas – Austin celebrates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with its annual festival and march.
The Austin Area Heritage Council is organizing events that begin with a performance at the MLK statue at the East Trade Center on the University of Texas campus.
The a cappella Voices of Africa, made up of students from the Texas African Students Organization, will perform.
After the program, the community will travel to the University of Houston-Tillotson at around 9:30 AM.
