Man steals packages from North Austin porch and threatens victim with knife: police

The Austin Police Department (APD) is looking for a man who stole packages from a porch in North Austin and threatened the victim with a knife.

Police said that around 5:30 p.m. March 3, a man stole several packages from a porch near the intersection of West 35th Street and Fruit Street.

As the suspect left, the victim followed him to try and retrieve the stolen packages. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the victim.

The suspect was described as Hispanic with a tattoo on his right shoulder. He was seen wearing a blue baseball cap with the “Brxtn” logo, a bright green gaiter, a dark green shirt, a red belt, black pants and black shoes.
