Man shot dead outside Miami Norland High School and High School; police search schools for possible second victim

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida. (WSVN) — A man was airlifted to hospital after a shooting near Miami Norland High School. Meanwhile, the police are conducting raids on schools following reports of a second victim.

The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. Monday, near Northwest 11th Avenue and 93rd Street.

The 18-year-old victim was able to get into the blue SUV and was taken to the nearest fire station. Police SUVs were seen around this car as part of the investigation.

He was treated by paramedics for a gunshot wound to his leg and possibly an arm, before being taken to a rescue truck in a field where a rescue helicopter had landed, about a mile and a half from the schools.

The victim was taken to Aventura Hospital.

At the same time, police received calls from both schools about a second victim on one of the campuses.

Fire engines are on duty, police are searching schools, but so far only one person has been confirmed to have fired, and the second victim has not been found.

There is no information about the shooter.
