A man in a wheelchair was choked and robbed of his cellphone in a broad-daylight Midtown attack this week, authorities said Friday.
The 40-year-old victim was on Fifth Avenue near West 58th Street — about a block from Trump Tower — around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when another man approached him, put him in a chokehold and snatched his phone, police said.
Good Samaritans tried to step in to stop the heartless crook — but the suspect threatened them with a knife before running off, cops said.
The victim refused medical attention.
No other injuries were reported, police said.
Authorities released photos of the suspect, shown wearing all black, with a silver or gray vest over his sweatshirt.
