Man fatally shot woman and teen before pointing gun at himself in Southwest Houston murder-suicide: HPD

HOUSTON — An investigation is underway after a man in southwest Houston shot and killed a woman and a teenager on Friday before turning the gun on himself, the Houston Police Department said.

It happened in the 5600 block of Indigo Street in Meyerland around 00:20.

The officers received a call from a woman who sounded like she was in distress. Then shots were fired over the phone, HPD reports.

When they arrived at the scene, the police said the house was under guard. The officers then entered the home with the help of emergency personnel from the Houston Fire Department.

A man who appeared to be in his 60s, a woman of about the same age, and a man in his late teens were found dead with gunshot wounds in the house, according to investigators.

Police said the shooting may have been caused by a murder-suicide and the shooter was a 60-year-old man.
