Man dies in self-defense shooting in Pflugerville: police
PFLUGERVILLE, TX – The Austin Police Department (APD) said no arrests were made due to the fatal shooting in Pflugerville over the weekend due to self-defense.
Police said officers responded to gunfire in the 13900 block of Macquarie Drive around 9:11 p.m. on January 21.
When officers arrived, they found Wilton Acker, 37, with a gunshot wound. Acker was taken to a local hospital, but died from his injuries on January 22.
According to preliminary information, there was a skirmish between Aker and another person in the house. During the argument, a third person intervened and shot Acker.
Investigators questioned several people, including the shooter. Further investigation revealed that the shooting was in self-defense, police said.
Nobody was arrested.
