Serious Motor Vehicle Collision in West Windsor Leaves 73-Year-Old Resident with Life-Threatening Injuries

The West Windsor Police Department responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on May 6, 2023, at the intersection of Roszel Road and Old Trenton Road. Traffic & Patrol Units were detailed to the scene where a 73-year-old resident of Princeton was found as the sole occupant of a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta and had sustained life-threatening injuries. The victim was attended by West Windsor Division of Fire & Emergency Services and transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.

Investigations indicate that the VW Jetta was heading southbound on Roszel Road when it entered into the northbound lanes, continued in a southeasterly direction, and collided with the northbound curb. The vehicle then went off the road and hit a utility pole before coming to a stop. The driver was the only person in the car, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident. Initial investigations suggest it could have been a result of a medical event.
