Main Street Theater for Youth casting actors for ‘Beauty and Beast Musical’

Main Street Theater in Houston is currently casting actors for its production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. The parts are open to non-equity actors, and those wishing to audition are required to submit a video of themselves singing a contemporary musical theater song that showcases their vocal range. Musicians should use accompaniment or music tracks. The deadline for submissions is May 1, and successful applicants should have daytime availability and previous musical theater training.

The school shows run from November 13th through to December 15th, with two performances scheduled each day at 9:30 and 11:30, except for the week of November 20-24. Public shows take place on Sunday November 12th and 19th, with performances at 12:00 and 15:30 respectively.

Additionally, performances will be held from Monday to Wednesday on November 20-22 and November 24th, with shows at 10:00am and 1:30pm. On December 8th, 2023, there will be a single show at a designated time. For Saturday shows, performances take place on November 25th, December 2nd and December 9th, all at 10:00am and 1:30pm. On December 20th, 2023, the production has a designated time. For Thursday through Saturday performances on December 21-23, shows will be held at 1:30pm and 7:00pm.
